🟣 Are you ready to fail?

Let's fix that

Summer is being a flirty little mistress right now because the countdown is ON

And I bet my right tittie a few of you have a list called ‘TIME TO SORT OUR SHIT OUT’ chilling in your notes app

I imagine it might look like this:

Set alarm for 5:45am

Be at gym 3 times a week by 7:30am

Whip up lunch the night before

Batch cook every Sunday

Eliminate ALL oral joy

NO PUDS

Admirable, yes

But we both know it’s going to last about as long as a D-cup bra from Shein

Sure, when you’re blessed by the goddesses of motivation this list feels hella doable

Cos you see people online doing this shit ALL the time in their fucking ‘day in the life’ videos

So you tell yourself

It’s what you have to do to see results

You want it more this time, so you’ll push yourself through it

But by week three, you’re a human on the edge.

Snoozing the alarm because you are (and always will be) allergic to early starts

Meal prep? Who’s cocking idea was that?

Hiding from Julie at the office because she’s peddling some fucking fairy cakes

Turns out this perfect regime you’ve designed for yourself is a nightmare to bloody live

So you chuck it directly in the bin

(again)

The answer to break the cycle my lovely lil currywurst?

Build a routine that works for you, and learn to fail forwards.

This was the key difference for our client Rachel.

Not only does she have an elite name, but she’s been working hard on Blitz your Bits, our online group program for the last year

And, with us, everything clicked:

Rachel was stuck in a cycle of adopting a new regime and ditching it

And working with coach Sophia, we built a routine that succeeded where her Instagram “inspo” advice had failed

We did this in two ways

First, we worked with her to build systems that fit around her life

Rachel started with work outs from home, because she found the gym overwhelming

We got her steps up to 7-8k, because 10k wasn’t possible around a long day in the office midweek

We built up a base of meals that were on the table in under half an hour, that felt doable even when she was knackered

AND we structured her callie D so there was more wiggle room on the weekends, meaning she could have a glass of savvy B with the gals

Smaller, manageable adjustments that added up to real change over time

Second, we learned to mentally manage whoospies

When she did give into one of dickhead Julie’s cheeky bakes, we gave Rachel the tools to stop the spiral

So that instead of hopping from fairy cakes to snacking cheese to a takeaway tea and a tiramisu, she could dodge the fuck it button

Because a bad 15 minutes does not a bad day make

And changing behaviour post fairy cake was crucial in nailing the consistency required to break the cycle

The result?

Rachel failed well, and failed forwards

Rachel did not feel overwhelmed by the changes we made

Rachel got consistent (and embraced imperfection)

Rachel hit her goal of being a strong ass mum. I mean fucking look at her!
