Oi oi my cheeky little cheesecake.
One of our crew (let's call her K) dropped this truth bomb in my comments that hit me harder than a protein shake to the face:
"The only time I had ever somehow visible abs I calorie deficited myself into a depression. So yeah, no visible abs for me, I like serotonin and dopamine more."

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS FOR A HOT MINUTE?
Here's what nobody tells you about those "dream abs":
😵💫 They often come with a side of anxiety that makes a caffeinated squirrel look chill
😵💫 You start seeing foods as numbers instead of actual bloody enjoyment
😵💫 And don't even get me started on the mental gymnastics required to navigate social situations
Look, the reality is you have to get down to brutally low levels of body fat to see your abs.
I know because I’ve been there.
And it is fucking miserable.
All the enjoyment is sucked out of your life like a Shark Hoover on deep pile carpet mode.
Want to know what's sexier than visible abs?
Being able to order whatever the fuck you want on a date without having a mental breakdown
Actually enjoying your best mate's wedding instead of panicking about the meal macros.
Having enough energy to do more than just exist between gym sessions.
Not feeling like one slice of pizza will somehow delete all your progress.
Look, if you've got visible abs naturally - amazing! You do you, you genetic unicorn.
But if you're torturing yourself trying to get them?
You're literally starving yourself of joy (and probably a lot of other important things) chasing something that might make you look good in photos but feel like absolute wank in real life.
Because here's the real tea:
You can be the snackiest little snack that ever snacked WITHOUT visible abs.
You can be strong, fit, and healthy WITHOUT visible abs.
You can be confident and sexy WITHOUT visible abs.
And most importantly, you can be genuinely happy WITHOUT visible abs.
