🟣 "Complete plumper" follow up

when diet myths become family traditions

Well if it isn’t my tidy little turnip 🍠

Someone called me a "complete plumper" on TikTok a few weeks back.

First off - 10/10 for creativity.

At least it wasn't the usual "fat" or "chunky" that gets thrown around.

They really put some effort into that one.

So good for them.

But here's the thing…

This didn’t bother me one bit.

It actually gave me some great content lol.

But I've got skin thicker than a rhino's arse crack.

What properly boils my piss is knowing how these comments affect the incredible people in our community (like you).

Because it's not just social media comments, is it?

It's your aunt at Christmas dinner, eyeing your plate while asking if you've "put on a bit of weight, love?"

It's Karen from HR cornering you in the kitchen with her helpful suggestion about Slimming World.

It's that friend who won't shut up about their latest diet because "you'd look amazing if you just tried it!"

When did everyone become a bloody commentator on other people's bodies?

Your body isn't a topic for discussion at the family dinner.

It's not something that needs commentary from Sandra in accounting.

It's not up for public debate.

You're probably just trying to get a bit stronger, feel more confident, and improve your quality of life.

You're on your own journey, and you don't need a panel of judges scoring your progress like it's Strictly Come Dieting.

So here's what I recommend you do:

Next time someone feels the need to comment on your body, your food choices, or your fitness journey, remember this:

Their opinion is about as useful as a marzipan dildo.

And you have my full permission to tell them to jog on.
