🟣 Confessions of a Tesco produce girl

post work panic buying ready meals

Well if it isn't my frisky little fettuccine alfredo 🍝

So I used to be a Tesco produce girl.

(Yes, I wore that sexy green uniform. Below is for your eyes only xo)

And let me tell you something fascinating about working the evening shift...

Around 5:30pm, like clockwork, the "what the fuck am I having for dinner?" brigade would arrive.

Back then, I didn't think much of it.

I was too busy arranging bananas into aesthetically pleasing displays (a skill that's been proper useful in my coaching career, as you can imagine).

But now?

Bloody hell, it all makes sense.

These people weren't just shopping - they were making decisions about their nutrition while:

- Their brain was fried from Nigel's passive-aggressive emails

- Their stomach was doing the thinking

- The ready meal aisle was whispering sweet nothings in their ear

It's like booking a holiday after eight pints - the decisions aren't going to be your finest work.

And next thing you know you’ve booked a one way trip to North Korea!

Now look, I'm not saying you need to be one of those meal prep warriors with 47 identical containers of chicken and rice.

(Although if that's your jam, crack on you magnificent creature.)

But there's a sweet spot between "I've planned every morsel until 2027" and "fuck it, let's get chips."

It's called having a rough bloody plan.

Just knowing what protein you're having for dinner before your brain turns to mush from spreadsheets and meetings.

Having some veg in the fridge that isn't just the sad cucumber you bought two weeks ago with good intentions.

Understanding portion sizes when your decision-making abilities aren't compromised by Dave from accounting's latest crisis.

Does this mean you'll never have a Dominos Two for Tuesday again?

Don't be daft.

Sometimes life goes tits up and pizza is the answer.

But most of the time?

A bit of planning ahead means you're not standing in Tesco at 6pm, staring at the ready meals like they hold the secrets to the universe.

This is the kind of stuff we work with our clients on to get them unreal results they never thought were possible.

Fancy joining them?

Big love,

Rachel 🥰
