🟣 Hanky panky lighting
turn it don’t flick it 👀
Well hello my luscious little lima bean.
When I first moved into my house, I had grand plans to make it look like something from those Grand Designs.
But being the fiercely independent woman that I am, I decided to tackle it all on my own.
Including hanging new lights.
You already know this was a fucking disaster.
So I’ll spare you the details.
But the light fixture was hanging out of my ceiling and resting on my kitchen table at the same fucking time.
Now, you should know by now how much I love a metaphor.
And most of the time I use them to crack a joke.
But what you won’t see is how myself and the team use them to teach and empower our clients and BYB members.
And one of my personal favourites is the light switch metaphor.
See, most people think indulgence is like a light switch.
It’s either on or off.
Bright light or pitch dark.
You’re having a Friday-Sunday ultra snack-a-thon.
Or you’re swapping bread for lettuce leaves in your sandwiches.
And that’s how you make sweet fuck all progress.
But the truth is indulgence is like a dimmer switch.
Because dimmer switches give you options.
You can have it cranked up full when you’ve lost the TV Remote.
Or down low when you are trying to set the tone for some hanky panky.
And when it comes to your diet you will have times when you want to dial it all the way up.
Like when your best mate gets dumped and needs emergency pizza therapy, or it's your birthday and you're having the full-fat everything.
Then there will be times you want it turned down low.
Like a quiet film night where you fancy a bit of chocolate but don't need to inhale the entire tin of Quality Street.
And sometimes you’ll want it somewhere in the middle.
Maybe some wine with dinner or a proper pudding because it's Friday and you've earned it.
The dimmer switch approach is the antidote to the all or nothing mindset when it comes to food.
That cycle of "perfect" followed by "fuck it" followed by guilt is exactly what's keeping you from making any real progress.
Now, BYB is the absolute Daddy when it comes to helping you ditch this all or nothing mindset for good.
And the next round of BYB opens 6pm THIS MONDAY COMING for early access for BITS members.
Last time, every single spot was taken by BITS Baddies before we even told the public it was happening.
So if you're ready to finally learn how to work that dimmer switch instead of living in constant lighting chaos?
Join BITS today and get first dibs on transforming your entire relationship with food.
Because life's too short to live like you're either in an interrogation room or a cave.
Go here to join BITS today. Join BITS.
Love BITS! The best part is the instructional videos for the exercises. I’m fairly new-ish and absolutely terrified of looking like an idiot at the gym so looking at the videos multiple times (even in bed to help ingrain them in my brain) has been so good for my confidence. Those alone are worth the app! Also love the form videos on her Instagram too! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oh and just a quick reminder that the next intake of BYB is 6 weeks for £127 instead of 8 weeks for £159.
Plus you get 2 months free on the BITS app.
PLUS discounts to future BYB AND a BYB exclusive £4.99/month rate for BITS after BYB (rather than the £9.50) for the rest of your life. However long or short that is
(hopefully long)
Big love,
Rachel 🥰
