🟣 "I hope" vs "I am"
you need to understand this
Good day to you my scrumptious little scrambled egg.
Ever catch yourself saying things like:
🙏 "I hope I'll stick to my training this week”...
🙏 "I hope I can be more consistent”...
🙏 "I hope I'll get my workouts in”...
Hope, hope fucking hope.
I used to “hope” for these things all the fucking time.
So I know first hand how it feels to be stuck hoping for results you desperately want…
But never get anywhere near them.
Here's the thing about hope…
It’s for lottery tickets and weather forecasts.
So if you want to win a bajillion pounds or have a barbeque during British summer?
Hope away my lavish little lamb chop.
But when it comes to getting results and becoming the best version of yourself?
Hope ain’t the one (or the two, or the three).
I was chatting to my client Cassie recently (hey if you're reading this you absolute weapon).
When she first started, she was doing about 2,000 steps a day and hadn't been to the gym.
But instead of "hoping" she'd get fitter, we focused on one habit at a time.
First phase? Just steps. Built up to 7,000 daily.
Second phase? Added gym sessions.
Now? 7,000 steps PLUS three gym sessions a week.
And the best bit?
She's gone from someone who "hoped" to exercise more to someone who literally says "I don't know what the fuck is happening but I love the gym”.
That's what happens when you stop hoping and start becoming.
Because here's the spicy truth about change:
The more you do, the more you CAN do.
And the more you can do, the more you WANT to do.
This isn't about hoping for change.
It's about becoming someone different.
Because here's the thing about becoming someone different - it's not just about what you DO.
It's about who you ARE.
Because when you're looking at that version of yourself 6 months from now, it's not just about having different habits.
It's about being a different person.
Someone who doesn't need to be motivated to train.
Someone who doesn't battle with consistency.
Someone who just... shows up.
Not because they should.
But because that's who they are.
Ask yourself:
🤔 Who do I want to be in 6 months?
🤔 What would that person's habits look like?
🤔 What's one thing I can do THIS WEEK to start being that person?
Because "I am someone who hits the gym every week" doesn't skip sessions when they're feeling a bit meh.
They ask: "When am I training today”?
Not "Am I training today”?
And if you want help becoming that person?

You ARE becoming fitter and stronger.
One decision at a time.
