🟣 I messed up my fat loss challenge

Apparently 🤷‍♀️

You bloody know the feeling

You nail your week in the Callie D:

✔️ Structured meals

✔️ No weekend takeaway

✔️ A big ol stomp every damn day

But

You step onto those silly little scales smugger

Only to see the fucker has gone UP.

The heck?

I’m currently on Day 14 of the challenge, looking forward to my Mateasers today (my all time FAVE)

But at the beginning of last week, despite a week of obedience

The scales had the audacity to tell me my weight was no different than when I started

 

Now back in the day I know that this would have had the potential to see me spiralling faster than a crafty kid with a Spirograph

How could I have put weight ON?

I’ll have to cut more aggressively next week

What’s the point? It’s clearly not working

And it would have had the potential to derail my fat loss journey completely

But actually to quit at that point would have had been depriving future me of heaps of progress

And low and behold, after sticking to it despite my scale being a sod - this week without changing anything & trusting the process, we are hitting new lows

 

This is one of the BIGGEST challenges I help clients like Elisabeth with

Elisabeth has been wiggling on Blitz your Bits, our online group program since May last year, and this is the reality of what her weight loss journey has looked like 

I’ll do the quick maths for you

The scale has gone up 11 times since we’ve been working together.

But overall?

She’s dropped over 17kg

 

But without someone in her corner, at any one of these 11 scale increases she could have thrown in the towel

Could have assumed that she wasn’t cutting hard enough

That the changes she’d made weren’t working

That the scales were never going to drop any lower ever again

But she’d have been wrong

And look at all the progress she would have missed out on

Feedback every week meant that when these unhelpful thoughts crept in

We could chat it through, make a plan, and get right back to it the following week, without crashing out

Friendly reminder that the amount of gravity pulling down on you is just one silly little data point in the bigger picture

So although your scale weight might not have budged this time, just think about a couple of other things for me

How’re your clothes feeling? Bet they’re feeling a touch more comfy

How’re those energy levels? What’s that, you chose the stairs? 

How’re you feeling in yourself? Better than when you started? Thought so

So come on neggie Nelly, back yourself

You’re headed in the right direction, you just gotta keep wiggling
