🟣 I was wrong about home workouts

And it pains me

I was wrong.

Ten years ago, when my life revolved around the gym, I’d confidently say home workouts were a crock of shite if you were serious about results.

Back then I trained six days a week, lived in gyms, and had the life experience of a tomato. So of course I bloody thought that.

Then life changed. A 2 year fever dream where touching a gym was forbidden.

Followed by years of travel where gym access was inconsistent at best.

And yet…

My glutes didn’t melt off my butt & I still whack out pull ups and 2x bodyweight deadlifts for fun (not me bragging at the only 2 lifts I’m good at, lol)

I trained through COVID with dumbbells and bands.

I trained in Southeast Asia and New Zealand with a backpack because that’s what I had.

Was it optimal compared to a perfectly structured gym routine? No.

Was it more than enough to maintain muscle, build strength, and feel good in my body?
Absolutely.

That’s why when people ask me if home training actually works, my answer is abso-fucking-lutely.
