It took me 3 months to venture into the “weights area” of my first gym

I’d tickle a couple bits of cardio kit thinking it was a solid workout

When the truth was, I was too busy shitting myself at the thought of looking like a clueless prat in front of strangers.

So believe me, I get it

I remember the butt-clenching feeling of jumping on a machine you don't know how to use

Where you don't know where to put your limbs

You have no idea what weight is a “good weight” or what bloody pins are meant to go in what bloody holes

And you think the whole gym is watching you figure it out - either amused or pissed off that you’re taking up the damn space

So fluster, flounder and flail your way back to safety - the cardio machines in the back.
