🟣 Running on dry shampoo and a dream

we like it messy here

The alarm goes off.

You’re starting your 20 second countdown to roll out of bed before there’s something.

A school uniform gone missing. A packed lunch needs making. A child who has decided they cannot find their left fucking shoe shoe.

By the time you've handled all of that, fed everyone, herded the cats out the door and sat down with a coffee that's now cold, you've already given every scrap of energy you had to someone else.

And the thought of doing something for yourself between that chaos and work?

Going to the gym, prepping a decent meal, even just sitting down for ten minutes

It feels selfish. Just one more thing on the ā€˜to-do’ list that’s already pissing long.

So you push it down to sort it out when things settle down. Maybe when the kids are a bit older or when work isn't so busy. When the kitchen isn't a crime scene and you've had more than five hours sleep.

But you drift through the months

Every now and then you catch yourself in the mirror, or you try on something you used to love wearing, and there's this sinking feeling that you've completely lost track of the person underneath all of it.

Not just how you look.

But how you feel.

Knackered all the time. Your back crapping out picking up a pencil. You can't remember the last time your body was something you truly enjoyed being in.

And the worst part is you feel guilty for even caring about it.

This is roughly where Rachel was when she joined Blitz Your Bits about 6 months ago.

Who wanted to feel stronger, leaner and more capable in her body.

Feel like a strong mum rather than one running on coffee fumes and dry shampoo.

But her life wasn't set up for the "optimal" fitness regime. I mean what bloody mum's life is?

So we didn't ask her to overhaul everything with a 5-day gym split and a meal plan that required eating away from the fam.

We started where she actually was and built on from there.

2-3 home workouts a week.

Some weeks she hit three.

Some weeks, life was a bastard and she managed one.

And instead of writing those weeks off and spiralling into the "I’ve ruined it now so may as well fuck this thing off" pit that most of us know far too well, she just focused on what she could do. Not what she couldn't.

After about a month of showing up regularly at home? She built the gumption to step into the gym.

From there we kept it stupidly simple. Consistent training. A calorie deficit. 7-8k steps a day. Gradual progress instead of trying to go from zero to superhuman overnight.

All while navigating mum life, holidays, Christmas and the oral joy that comes in that.

Six months later? Well… she’s seen some changes:

But what is fucking wonderful, beyond these snaps is what she said:

"I feel great with my new routine."

Not "I feel great because I suffered for six months but at least I’m leaner."

She feels great with her routine because it fits her fucking life.

Now. If you've read this far and you're still thinking "I'll start when things calm down a bit"...

Things will not fucking calm down a bit.

There will always be a half term, a birthday, a work deadline, a reason to put yourself at the bottom of the list again.

Rachel started in October and trained through bonfire night, Christmas, New Year, the January slump and everything in between.

Not because she was ā€œhighly motivatedā€, but because she had the system in place to continue to get shit done, regardless of what was happening.

And she didn't need to be perfect once she did. She just needed to keep going, imperfectly, with support from her coach Sophia and the community around her.

That's what Blitz Your Bits is built for.

Not for people who have it all figured out who have a clear 8 weeks in front of them.

It’s built for people with messy lives who need something that works with reality instead of pretending it doesn’t bloody exist.

Blitz goes live on March 24th

But only to those with priority access

You can join the priority access by joining the Bits App trial here:

Otherwise, remaining spots fire up on the 26th for a higher price (£185 instead of £169)

But we don’t usually get to that point, as spaces for the last 15 rounds have sold out to the priority list šŸ™‚

So sit your tooshie on the app, get ready for the launch on tuesday

And I can’t fucking wait to work with ya

Big love

Rachel
