🟣 The “C” word
Doesn’t rhyme with grunt
I fucking hate winter
So heading into Sainsbury’s and seeing the damn Christmas chocolate had me soul shrivel into my butthole thinking about the months of cold, dark days
I know some of you live for that cosy shit
Not me. There’s a reason I’ve previously spent all my funds in being OUT of the UK over winter.
But today, I’m drawing a line and calling myself out on my bullshit.
The problem is, the more I tell myself “winter is shit,” the more evidence I find to back it up.
Self-fulfilling prophecy, innit.
Because if instead of sulking about the drizzle, I threw on a raincoat and went looking for a bit of adventure, I’d probably feel miles better.
But humans are weird.
We cling to our misery like it’s a warm blanket.
And this is where most people get stuck with their fitness too.
You tell yourself “I’ve got no willpower.”
Then the biscuits appear, and you start acting like Pac-Man on edibles.
You tell yourself “I’m lazy as fuck.”
Which brings comfort when you skip the gym again, because, well, lazy people skip the gym don’t they?
The actions you take build evidence of who you are. And the evidence you look at shape the story you live in.
One of our BITS legends wrote to me this week, that really fucking inspired me:

More barriers than the general public and the Epstein files between her and her goals.
Yet instead of chasing perfection, she said: “I’ll just do the best I can.”
No pressure, no shame.
Just one percent better each week.
That attitude and the compounding interest of those small changes and small decisions each day?
Fast forward a year and her life and body are completely different.
Not because she tortured herself with restriction or guilt, but because she stopped buying into the story that she “couldn’t.”
Believe me - I fucking get how hard switching that story can be.
I’ve coached 1000s of women and have seen countless people battle demons far greater than “just do a bicep curl, you prune”
But action in the right place can change beliefs you didn’t even know where holding you back.
You can become the person to stop at one biscuit or trains when they’re not motivated.
And I can be a person that doesn’t let the weather shaft them, lol.
If you want a place to start rewriting that story, the app is the easiest way in.
You can literally start today for £0. If it’s crap, cancel it and carry on sulking about the drizzle.
But if it clicks, you’ve just rewritten your story:
Hope to see you in there
Big love
Rachel
