🟣The easy life ain’t the one

don’t dodge the hard stuff

Well, if it isn't my kinky little creme caramel! 🍮

Let's have a proper chat about hard things.

No! Not that kind…

Get your mind out of the gutter.

Life has a habit of giving you an easy way and a hard way to do things.

Like when your alarm goes off for that morning workout and your brain's like:

"Sack it off, stay in bed, how can you possibly leave this cosy cocoon or comfort”?

Or when you're doing the big shop:

"Ready meals are quicker than meal prep... and look, they're on offer!"

Or my personal favourite:

"I'll start properly next week. When things are less mental."

(Spoiler: Things are always bloody mental.)

Now before we go any further, you have to know I’ve taken the easy option countless times in life.

So this isn’t me getting on my InflooEnCAR high horse (GOD I hate being called an “influencer”).

I’m speaking from personal experience AND the experience of working with so many bloody legends at Team Henley fitness.

And all of this has led me to realise the following…

Not doing hard things doesn't make life easier.

It just makes it properly harder, later.

Don't believe me?

Let me paint you a picture:

Skip the gym for a few months and suddenly walking up stairs becomes a leg workout from hell.

Keep going for the “easy option” of fad diets and you'll be yo-yo dieting until you're old enough for a bus pass.

Avoid strength training and watch your body get weaker than a motorway service station coffee.

Life's going to be hard either way.

You don’t have a choice here.

But you do get to choose WHEN it gets hard.

And trust me, choosing the hard stuff now makes your life SO MUCH easier and more enjoyable later on.

These are the hard things worth doing (even when they're proper scary):

  • Show up

  • Push past your comfort zone

  • Trust the process

  • Face your fears

Ready to do the hard things now?

Let's make life easier later.

Big love,

Rachel 🥰
